Climb is a free-to-play sports prediction game by R&L Labs. There is no real-money wagering, no prizes, and no redemption of any kind — picks risk only in-game rating points.
What we collect
Account. You sign in with Apple or with Discord. From Apple we receive a private user identifier and, if you share it, your email address. From Discord we receive your Discord account identifier, username, email address, and avatar. You choose a Climb username; you may add a display name, an avatar photo, and a bio.
Gameplay. Your picks, results, rating (MMR), rank history, badges, and season standings. This is the game — public leaderboards and feeds show your username, avatar, rank, and picks unless you set your profile to private.
Social activity. Follows, blocks, reports, reactions, comments, and captions you post. Comments and captions are screened by automated moderation (including OpenAI's moderation service, which processes the text you submit) and may be reviewed by us when reported.
Device. A push-notification token if you allow notifications, and your app version, so results can reach your device.
Referrals. If you join through another player's share link and redeem their code, we link your account to theirs so their "players recruited" count works. That link is visible to us, not to other players.
Purchases. If you subscribe to Premium, Apple processes the payment. We receive and store the subscription's status (never your payment details) to unlock Premium features.
What we don't do
- We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not use advertising identifiers. Ads (for free accounts) are served by Google AdMob in non-personalized mode.
- We do not sell your data.
- There is no real-money gambling, and no way to convert anything in Climb into money.
Who processes data for us
- Supabase hosts our database and authentication.
- Apple handles sign-in, payments, and push delivery.
- Discord handles sign-in when you choose it.
- Google AdMob serves non-personalized ads; its processing is described in Google's privacy policy.
- OpenAI screens submitted comment/caption text for policy violations.
Retention and deletion
You can delete your account in the app (You → Edit → Delete account). Deletion removes your name, picture, profile details, follows, notifications, device tokens, and social posts, and permanently anonymizes your account. Your past picks and finished-season standings remain on the ladder under an anonymous name so completed seasons aren't rewritten; they are no longer connected to you.
Age
Climb contains simulated gambling and is intended for users 18 and older.
